Activities:

Go grocery shopping! See how many grocery items you can find that begin with the letter ‘g’!
Go on a gold coin hunt!
Grab bag: pull items that begin with a /g/ sound out of the bag
Start a garden!
Have a play garage sale at school. Have the students bring in objects from home that begin with the letter ‘g’. Then set up a play garage sale with the objects!
Hide ‘g’ letters around the room and hunt for them with a flashlight
Make green monster hand puppets! Add eyes, etc. to green gloves. Have the students use the puppets to ask for objects using the carrier phrase “Give me ____”.
Make mini go-karts out of shoe boxes
Play goose-goose-duck!
Play red light/green light
What’s in my garage? Talk about objects that are found in a garage that begin with the letter ‘g’ (grass cutter, go-kart, garbage cans, garbage bags, gas (car), outdoor games).
