Activities & Snacks

Activities:

  • Have children take turns pretending to be “Thing 1” and “Thing 2”.  Hide objects that begin (or end) with the /th/ sound and let “Thing 1” and “Thing 2” go on a /th/ hunt.
  • Make false teeth out of marshmallows
  • Make thumb print pictures 
  • Make the letters ‘th’ with thread!
  • Write the letters ‘th’ in something thick (e.g., pudding,  yogurt, toothpaste)
  • Write the letters ‘th’ in something thin (e.g., juice, colored water)

Snacks:

  • Don’t forget to say, “Thank you”
  • Make thick & thin shakes on Thursday!
  • Make thick and thin sandwiches
  • Thick (Cool Whip), Thicker (Carmel Sauce) & Thickest (Peanut Butter)
  • Thin Mints!
  • Thistles (pretzel sticks)
  • Thorns (candy corn)
  • When you are thirsty, drink hot chocolate from a thermos!
  • Thumb print cookies
  • Wheat thins
