Activities & Snacks
Activities:
- Build an obstacle course. Jump over… Crawl under…
- Count quarters
- Hammer: practice the /er/ sound while playing with a toy hammer and nails. Or, with adult supervision, build something creative using a real hammer.
- Learn all about otters. Then, make an otter puppet (see paper bag puppet instructions online).
- Learn more about a beneficial spider. Then, make one from a pom-pom and pipe-cleaners (or check out other spider craft ideas online).
- Make a bird feeder
- Play school – who is going to be the teacher?
- Take a walk in the summer and describe all the flowers you see.
- Use a paper plate to make a tiger mask – Grrrr!
- Use paper to write a letter to a friend!
- What’s the weather like today? Do you need a sweater?
